Nestled just the other side of the Truman Parkway from the Fairway Oaks/Kensington Park neighborhoods is the delightful sister neighborhood called Magnolia Park & Blueberry Hill. Originally developed in 1952 by the Lamara Company (developer of Savannah communities), this area features a diverse mix of mid-century ranch style homes and several iconic Mid-Century Modern homes. These MCM’s are mostly found on Spalding Drive and have been restored by Mid-Century modern lovers over the past several years.

Magnolia Park is known for it’s close knit community and tree-lined streets. It’s not uncommon to find some of the original owners still residing in the area. With convenient access to the Truman Parkway and DeRenne Avenue leading to I-16 all of Savannah is at your fingertips! It’s not uncommon to see several generations of family living in the neighborhood.

Perhaps the highlight of Magnolia Park is the community pool. We’re talking “Sandlot” style here. The community pool is open to residents and members of the neighborhood association. Chill out on the hot summer days and enjoy a splash or time at the neighborhood playground. The not-to-be-missed event has to be the Annual Fourth of July Parade and Barbecue.
