Many different genres are expressed through the diverse artists at multiple locations, so come to Savannah, Georgia to hear some of our unique bands. A melting pot of creativity, Savannah is home to the Savannah Philharmonic, the Coastal Jazz Association, the Savannah Folk Society, rock and punk bands like Cusses and Crazy Bag Lady, Americana bands like Waits & Co. and The Train Wrecks, hip hop artists like DJ Basik Lee and Miggs, and a metal scene anchored by internationally recognized bands Kylesa and Black Tusk. No matter where Savannah’s famed cobblestones lead you — to restaurants, nightclubs, art galleries, museums, churches or theatres — you’re likely to encounter music that is anything but ordinary…just like Savannah.

The small, vibrant coastal community is rife with a unique brand of low country hospitality and southern gothic ambiance, not to mention home to a burgeoning scene, music-hungry demographic, and an established arts community. The three-day festival puts a premium on discovery in an intimate, historical setting at a price unrivaled by any similar festival.
Heading into it’s SEVENTH year, the festival has hosted such notable up and comers as Grimes, of Montreal, The War On Drugs, Future Islands, Mac Demarco, Wye Oak, Generationals, St. Lucia, DIIV, Ra Ra Riot, Oberhofer, Reptar, St. Paul & The Broken Bones and hundreds of others before they broke out of the pack. Offering three days of discovery, fans can hop from venue to venue, beer in hand, keeping track of all of their favorite new acts (yep, you can drink in the streets here, as long as you stay in the historic district).
As the festival has grown, more and more regional and national acts of the established nature have decided to make Savannah Stopover a destination in its’ own right and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome them. A collaborative effort of MusicFile Productions and countless volunteers, partners, vendors, and sponsors, from March 9th-11th, 2017, the Savannah Stopover will showcase 80+ bands in small to mid-size venues across Savannah’s walkable Historic District. The first Savannah Jazz Festival was held at Grayson Stadium on October 1, 1983. Through twenty-six festivals the Coastal Jazz Association has made certain that all citizens, rich and poor, black and white, performers and non-performers have enjoyed the fruits of playing and listening to America’s own and only indigenous art form, Jazz. Produced and orchestrated by the Coastal Jazz Association for 35 years, the Savannah Jazz Festival is sponsored in part by the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs. The Festival hosts both internationally acclaimed and regionally prominent artists, and always pays tribute to our region’s great military bands with their performances. Since this is a free festival, and the Coastal Jazz Association is an all-volunteer organization, it is impossible to thank the city of Savannah, and our corporate and individual sponsors enough. This family of supporters understands the value that uniting people through America’s unique art form called Jazz brings to our community. Set in various venues throughout the Hostess City to reach as broad an audience as possible from Sunday through Tuesday, we bring it all home for three days in Forsyth Park. We throw in a movie night to move the rich narrative of the story of Jazz music, and open the Park shows with a Blues Night on Thursday in honor of one of the parents of Jazz.
The Savannah Children’s Choir is a nonprofit, community supported, choral organization whose mission is to unite, mentor and transform Savannah’s children into responsible, creative, and confident leaders through excellence in choral performance and education.
