Autumn is an ideal time to visit Savannah. November’s weather is often warm (sometimes chilly, but not hot) and usually dry– perfect for walks around the Historic District’s parks and squares.

Though the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon impacts visits to Savannah on the first weekend in November, the city’s other annual November festivals are smaller and mostly focused around food and culture. Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season, and many holiday lights shows, holiday-themed performances, and other seasonal events and activities in the Hostess City begin in late November, carrying through into the main festive period in December.
