At Team Callahan, we understand that it’s hard to leave our furry friends at home during an adventure. Audrey, our mascot, comes to work with us everyday but she loves to see all of the different dog friendly adventures that Savannah has to offer. The following are Audrey-approved!

Dog Friendly

Woof Gang Bakery has a few locations throughout Savannah, but why not go to the City Market location and grab some lunch while you’re there? Audrey loves to make her own variety treat bag since they are all so yummy! In addition to treats, this shop has a little bit of everything from toys to leashes that are sure to make your dog happy!

TailSpin, with three locations in Savannah- Pooler, Whitemarsh and Habersham Village, is the best place to pick up the pup-necessities!

Dog Friendly

After a trip to Woof Gang Bakery in City Market, grab a slice of Vinnie VanGoGo’s Pizza with your furry friend in their outside seating area. Go ahead and order a whole pizza with all of your favorite toppings because we’re positive that you’ll want some leftovers later! Just a reminder that this is a cash only location, with an ATM located just inside.

J Christopher’s has it’s own dog menu! The umbrellas on the outdoor tables and complimentary water bowls will ensure that the pups stay cool and happy (and full!).The menu has “Puppy Chow”, which includes skillet potatoes, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs, and “The Bulldog”, which has a little of everything- potatoes, bacon, sausage, ham, turkey, chicken, scrambled eggs and hash!

leopoldsWhile at Leopold’s Ice Cream on Broughton, be sure to order the Pup Sundae, which includes a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with an Ollie B. Biscuit! Grab an ice cream for yourself, and then head outside to enjoy these tasty treats with your furry companion. (By the way, if you’re military, they give a 50% off discount!)

Sometimes a dog just needs to run and let some energy out! Daffin Park (right next to the Team Callahan office) is the perfect place to do just that. We’ve got a water bowl out in front of the office just in case your fur baby gets thirsty!

We also enjoy walking around Forsyth Park, and getting to see the fountain that is truly a symbol of Savannah. There’s a ton of green space to lay down for a while once you need a rest. Even if you don’t find yourself near Daffin or Forsyth Park, we’re sure you’ll love any of the squares and parks that Savannah has to offer.

Around 41st and Drayton, is an off-leash dog park that is fenced and also shaded. Savannah Dog Park offers a great time to let your dog run and meet new furry friends without having to worry about that pesky leash!

Spending the night in the area? La Quinta’s throughout Savannah provide overnight accommodations for you and your pup. On Bay Street, the Bohemian Hotel also welcomes pups for a fee.

Need a furry friend? Imagine Pet Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue who saves animals from kill shelters, hoarding situations, animal fighting rings, etc. Once they have rescued the animal, they are spayed/neutered and given proper medical attention. They do not have a shelter, but their volunteers/ foster parents take personal care of the animal until they are adopted.
