We believe you should love where you live. Here are the main reasons Parkside residents love where they live. (in no particular order of course)
Proximity to Daffin Park
Whether you’re looking for some open air green space in the middle of the City or you are looking for a place to go for a run/walk, Daffin has you covered. On the eastern end of the park is Grayson Stadium, home to our Savannah Bananas baseball team. We’re sure you’ve heard of them. And if you haven’t, stop what you’re doing and hit that google search ASAP.
Adjacent to the stadium is the Herty Pines Dog Park which is hopping every day of the week. Bring your pup and meet some neighbors is the name of the game here.
Living in Parkside, you’ll hear the buzz of activity from Daffin Park on the regular; be it youth sports games on the weekend, the annual Rugby tournament around St. Patrick’s Day, or fireworks after a ballgame.
The Neighbors
Parkside is very much a “cup of sugar” community. If you’re looking for a neighborhood where the locals sit on the front porch with a glass of wine at the end of the day and stop to say hello, Parkside is it. They even close down a street each year at Thanksgiving for the neighborhood potluck. No kidding.
The Architecture
If you’re an old house lover, you’ll love Parkside. Most of the homes in this community were built between 1920-1960. You’ll find everything from the darling Craftsman bungalow to the occasional brick ranch. Homes are full of architectural elements, original details, and tons of charm. And sometimes, you can still buy a home from the original owner!
Convenient Location
You can be pretty much anywhere in the City within 15 minutes. Literally. Want to go Downtown for a girls night out? – 15 minutes. Need something from the Southside? – 15 minutes via the Truman. Ready for the beach? – ok, so it’s not 15 minutes, but it is less than 30 AND you can cut through the back way via Thunderbolt.
