Today we are going to talk about the three things you can do to get your home ready for photos! Having professional photos of your home is super important because buyers look at your house online before they ever walk through your door. And the key to getting them to walk through your door is stunning professional photos. To get those photos to look as appealing and beautiful as possible there are a few things you need to do!

Declutter & Depersonalize

I know it sucks and can be time consuming but it is important to take down all the family photos. Not only will this depersonalize your home, but it keeps the buyer from getting distracted. You will want to declutter all the personal items and papers that may be scattered everywhere and find them a home! If there are items that are too large to store in a drawer or closet, you can always rent a storage unit! What we ultimately want to do is make your home look inviting and clean; as if it is going to be featured in a home magazine!

Small Repairs

Another important step is making any small repairs that need to be done around the house! Perhaps repainting a room or replacing a faucet, anything that people will notice. If there are things that you can see around the house that need fixing, the buyer will also probably notice them as well. We want buyers to feel that the home is move in ready – and have no doubts when signing!

Curb Appeal

Making sure the exterior of the house is very welcoming is super important! People want to be able to envision themselves living there. Cleaning up the flower beds and planting some new flowers, fresh coat of mulch, maybe some power washing or even a new coat of paint are all ways to increase your curb appeal!
