In Savannah, we celebrate all month long. If you’re looking for the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day party, head over to River Street and City Market, the two main hubs for all the shenanigans. These two places will be jamming with a three-day St. Pat’s Day Festival. Not only will there be live entertainment and activities to partake in, but there will also be interactive artists, photo booths and food and beverage areas. 🍻☘️
⛲Greening of the Fountain March 9, 2018 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm It’s a tradition in Savannah to dye all of the fountains green and it all starts with the with everyone’s favorite – the fountain in Forsyth Park. During this ceremony, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal pours green dye into the water with the help of a bunch of friends and family, because we all know that St. Patty’s Day in Savannah wouldn’t be the same without green water in all of the city’s fountains.
🏃♂️March of Dimes Shamrock Run Friday, March 9, 2018 | 6 p.m. Every year in Ellis Square, about 2,000 runners and walkers kick off St. Patty’s Day in Savannah with a 5K through Downtown Savannah. All participants receive a Shamrock Run 5K T-shirt with registration, which is $25-$35. All proceeds benefit the mission of the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies.
🇮🇪Irish Heritage Dance Irish Heritage Society Friday, March 9, 2018 Kick off your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with the Irish Heritage Dance at Alee Shriner’s Temple. Join in the fun with the Irish Heritage Society and see some of the area’s best Irish dancers, of all ages, show off their heritage, tradition and talent at this fun event.
🍻The Craft Brew Races Saturday, March 10, 2018 The Craft Brew Races are a celebration of local craft brewing, an active lifestyle and the surrounding community. This fun event at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center consists of a timed 5K road race, which awards finishers with a medal that doubles as a bottle-opener and a pint glass to enjoy samples from 30+ breweries at the three-hour craft beer festival, which follows, featuring live music, food trucks and more.
🌈Shamrock Festival & Oyster Roast Sunday, March 11, 2018 The LGBT community of Savannah is hosting a family-friendly Shamrock Festival and Oyster Roast at Skidaway Island State Park with a silent auction, bingo, raffle, nature walks, and more! Oysters, hot dogs, side items and delicious food will be served. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-member
🚒St. Patrick’s Day Fire Ball Friday, March 16, 2018 IAFF Savannah Firefighters invite you to come out and meet your Savannah Firefighters and firefighters from all across the world. With an open bar, heavy hor d’ourves and live music, this year’s hottest party – the St. Patrick’s Day Fire Ball – is a great way to kick-start your celebrations. Guests will be treated to open bar with beer, wine and premium brands of liquor, hors d’ oeuvre stations, silent auction, raffle prizes and dancing to live music at the Savannah Station.

🍀St. Patty’s Day Festival Saturday, March 17, 2018 River Street just might be the place with the biggest St. Pats’s Day party in Savannah. They go all out. Restaurants, bars, beer and food vendors line the street with all kinds of green goodies to gulp down. The music starts early in the day and keeps going all night across the multiple stages set up downtown, and by sunset, just about every inch of the street will be full with festive celebrators.
