What is more fun to talk about than food? I am not one to gate keep so I am going to share what I believe are the best restaurants in Savannah.
Best Pizza Restaurant
Huc-A-Poos! This restaurant is on Tybee Island and serves great pizza for a great price! Toppings are unlimited and at no additional cost. It is a great place to stop after a day on Tybee Beach or a great escape from Downtown Savannah. At night on the weekends there is live music as well! It is your typical beach dive bar vibe and I honestly love it.
Another honorable mention is Screamin’ Mimi’s. More of a New York style pizza, it is crispier and greasier! I love this pizza because it reminds me of home!
Best Burger Place
Over Yonder! I am a regular at Over Yonder because of this burger, it is so good! They use smash patties with a house sauce that is to die for. Not to mention the fries are delicious! Over Yonder is definitely a hidden gem, located behind Moodrights. It is more of a dive bar style (oh so fun) and they do line dancing during the week!
Best Thai Restaurant
I have to say King & I is the best Thai food. I always have a great experience there! Chiriya’s is a close second. I like to ask for spicy, because I like all the spice, however I can’t do Thai hot. These are both really great options for Thai food in Savannah.
Best Vietnamese Restaurant
Siagon Bistro on Waters Ave has the best Pho in town hands down! It is definitely a must try.
Best Fine Dining Restaurant
Common Thread is the best fine dining restaurant in Savannah. When I am looking to treat myself this is where I go. I am never disappointed, both the staff and food are incredible. The building is beautiful, it’s an old Victorian house that they’ve remodeled to the nines. A very popular spot so make sure to make a reservation!
Best Oysters
I am a huge oyster lover and I personally think that Husk has the best oysters in town. They have a variety of oysters that are always fresh. They also have a great happy hour!
Best Caribbean Restaurant
A hidden gem in Old Pooler called Mo’Bay serves the most authentic Jamaican food. It is absolutely delicious. Definitely a must try and is worth the drive to Pooler!
Best Italian Restaurant
The best Italian food in my opinion is Bella Napoli. They make their red sauce a little more on the acidic side which I absolutely love! Truly a great spot. They are only open for dinner so make sure to make a reservation and be prepared to find a parking spot downtown, that can be a challenge!
Best Family Friendly Restaurant
Technically not a restaurant but Starland Yard is a great place to bring your kids, dogs, friends, whoever! It is one of the coolest places downtown, with an outdoor bar, pizza place, food trucks, corn hole, you name it! They do Trivia on Tuesdays and constantly have events going on. Make sure to follow their instagram to hear about upcoming events!
Best Drinks with a View
Who doesn’t love a good cocktail and beautiful view of the city? Peregrin Rooftop Lounge on the Perry Lane Hotel has the most delicious cocktails with a great view overlooking the city. There is tons of seating and it is so uniquely decorated. A great place for Sunday Funday or to view the sunset! Another great place is the Wyld Dock Bar. This restaurant sits on the marsh, so you can either boat over or drive! They serve food and drinks and great vibes! It is a great place to go to relax and have a chill time. You’ll definitely run into some locals!
There are so many great places to eat in Savannah it is truly hard to narrow it down! If you haven’t tried these places I highly recommend them and would love to hear some of your favorites. I am always looking to try new places!
